Is it a male, is it a female…no it’s a shemale!

At this moment I am still recovering from a serious clubbing weekend. Where can you better start your weekend than on the top of a skyscraper (66th floor) in the open air in a beautiful metropolis like Bangkok? Can you imagine a super hip bar at this location? (Check this website to get an idea: http://www.thedomebkk.com/sirocco/sirocco_home.htm --> take a look at the picture gallery). After enjoying the view and some cocktails for a couple of hours we decided to leave for the next hot spot: The Supper Club (if this sounds familiar, yes there’s also one in Amsterdam). The interior of this club is beautiful. The whole club is covered in white and giant beds can be found around the dance floor (http://www.bedsupperclub.com/). And of course in both clubs we ran into Dutch people again. The closing times here in Bangkok are at 2.00am and for Dutch people this is way too early so afterwards we left with a couple of Dutchies to an ‘after party’. After some talking it appeared that in the Big something bar the party would proceed. Arriving there it seemed quite empty. All the barstools were standing upside down on the bar, so it didn’t look very lively. Didn’t stop us though because it was still possible to get some drinks. The night ended with chicken burgers in the 7/11! There’s something special about the chicken burgers in the 7/11, you have the possibility to pimp your own burger. There’s a table with all kinds of different sauces and toppings, just pimp it the way you like. And again during our snack the discussions where getting heavy about the males/females/shemales that also entered the 7/11. ‘That must be a guy.’ ‘No way, look at those hips!’ Nice to know that I’m not the only one who’s having the problem of not seeing the difference.
Next day the plan was to do some shopping and go for French fries with mayonnaise. We ended up with sitting in 2 different restaurants (lunch + dinner) and in between we only saw the inside of the Starbucks. So not much shopping going on there.
The grand finale of this weekend was karaoke! Just like in China you can hire private rooms, only the rooms here are a lot and I really mean a lot smaller. With 3 Dutch girls who count in general for 6 Thai girls (looking at size) this was quite a problem. But we still had loads of fun until we were kicked out because the mall was closing. (I dedicated one special song especially to you Mark and Robert: Corrie Konings - Huilen is voor jou te laat).
Oh right one more little thing, I am going to be famous! One of the PR-girls at Rangsit University asked me to write a column about myself to put on the Rangsit website including pictures. The Rangsit Uni has about 17.000 students so that’s quite a lot. I’ll let you know the link as soon as it is uploaded.
