Finally the Orange Camping is taking off! Today 650 guests will come in and tonight the official opening will take place. In the last few days guests were coming in and out, went to Kruger and returned again. But tonight the whole orange family will come together. Although the camping wasn’t opened officially yet there were still parties for the guests that stayed behind. Dutch classics combined with football songs until the early morning. Sleeping early, I don’t think so. The camper is moving with the beat.
In the mean time more and more guests are becoming aware of the 3rdHALF and enthusiastic to join our township tournament coming Tuesday. Even though it is the day after the match (and big party) they have to be ready for take off by 10 o clock sharp. I was even interviewed by the Orange Camping news to tell everyone about the 3rdHALF and the tournament. My face on 2 enormous screens in the party tent. I must admit that I was quite nervous. Next to the television interview I also had an interview with Pretoria News (comparable with ‘Het Parool’). Today SBS6 and the NOS are shooting here so keep an eye on the news and ‘Hart van Nederland’.
Yesterday the Orange Trophy arrived. I was there to say goodbye to them when they left on the 3rd of April from Amsterdam and now welcoming them here in Pretoria. They came all this way over land, quite an adventure!
Our time in Pretoria is going fast now. Tomorrow the big game, on Tuesday our event in the township of Mamelodi and on Wednesday off to Durban!
