Blond reddish hairs on a tinted arm covered in freckles. Legs with red mosquito bites and blue greenish bruises. Faded hair colour, red cheeks. Fresh red nail polish.
Blue and green room, no glass windows, shutters with large slots easy to peak through. Keep the shutters closed at night to leave the insects out, temperature rises inside. Enormous cockroaches walk in through the large opening underneath the door. Spray it! He runs a little further, on his back, keeps moving, dies after some minutes. Sleep under the mosquito net, save from insects, tug the net under the mattress.
Green jungle turns into wide savannas, swamps, green mountains. Villages arise, houses widely scattered over the village. Brick walls, thatch roofs. Just like my house in Wowetta. Walls now half way up, bathroom and toilet just outside the house. One main road with villages on each side, large distances between villages. Many bicycles and motorbikes. My red Brazilian bike saves me, motorbike not here as yet. Coming just now. Walking in this heat is not recommendable. Three maybe four vehicles a day on the main road from Georgetown to Lethem and Brazil. Hitchhiking is common. Many Brazilian influences, products, music and people.
Friendly and warm people, short posture, beautiful hair, friendly smiles and hospitable. Cassava bread, alcoholic beverages made from cassava, chicken, fish, ferine, not many vegetables or fruit due to bad soil, no ice or fridges. Luke warm water to drink, lemonade with limejuice and sugar.
Lots of reading, writing, swinging in the hammock, listening to music, photo taking, movies and series. Loving The Office UK. Lucky to have electricity and internet here. Landline is dead. No cell phones here, amazingly quiet. Suddenly realizing how often I looked at my phone back home.
No buses, trams, trains, TVs, phones, cars, scooters but crickets, donkeys, dogs, cows, horses and howler monkeys.

Hi Survivor! Ik moet zeggen; het huisje valt me mee. Ziet er allemaal best leuk uit, ook al is het een beetje behelpen. Ik had me meer een soort plaggenhut voorgesteld. However; een bezoekje aan de dichtsbijzijnde IKEA zou niet misstaan ;)

Ik vind het echt hilarisch dat je nu ook Barbie wordt genoemd. WAAAAAAH!!! Nu kan je me lekker niet meer pesten met mijn bijnaam. Die Brazilian bike ziet er goed uit en het blauw misstaat ook niet! Oh en aangezien ik een huisje koop in the NL wordt ik continue gebeld met vragen waar mijn hart van overslaat en waar ik met alle goede moed geen antwoord op weet. STRESS! Volgens mij is dat een van de grote voordelen van je nieuwe leventje of niet? Maar ik weet als het je lukt om dat bepaalde leven te creeeren dan mis je weer zaken die je eerder niet waardeerde. Maar, Rooie Barbaar, het belangrijkste van alles is toch dat er mango of in dit geval citroenlimonade is... Dat heb je dus dan komt de rest vanzelf. Kunnen we je trouwens dingen sturen, want heb iets wat jouw kant op moet!!!
